The Swiss association GlowbalAct was founded in 2011. This non-profit grew out of a deep personal concern about the increasing problems around human trafficking and the sexual commercial exploitation of women and men in Switzerland and worldwide. In 2014, GlowbalAct expanded its work to Israel (Tel Aviv).
In it's Israeli social business with the fashion label, KitePride, GlowbalAct provides victims of forced prostitution, forced labor or human trafficking with training, accompanied by employment and reintegration into the free labor market.
Since 2021, GlowbalAct has been developing a 24-month training program in Israel to help individuals leave the sex industry and find secure work in the public labor market. This initiative is implemented in collaboration with the Israeli government.
GlowbalAct advocates for victims of human trafficking through community education, job training and job placement with the help of a professional team of social workers. Victims of human trafficking are accompanied, supported and encouraged on their way to a free, independent and dignified life.
GlowbalAct organizes events, such as the Muskathlon with 4M Association Switzerland, with the aim of raising public awareness of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. GlowbalAct is a member of the Freedom Business Alliance and joins forces with a network of anti-trafficking organizations.
